Sitemeter Problems

I'm hoping this will be fixed soon but I wanted to pass this on in case it isn't.

If you go a website or blog and you get a pop up saying "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site Operation aborted" it's due to a problem with Sitemeter and Internet Explorer. So, it isn't you, it's me. I mean, it's Sitemeter. This isn't a problem for anyone using Firefox or some other browser.

If you have Sitemeter on your blog or site, disable it, or people using IE will be blocked.

I can't get Cute Overload or Gawker to work. I guess Perez Hilton is affected as well but I don't read that. No, I get my celebrity gossip from Los Angeles Police Chief Bill Bratton. Heh.

Anyway, I hope Sitemeter figures out what the problem is soon. How can I go on living if I can't check my stats on an hourly basis to see how many people from the Department of Defense find my blog after googling free wombat embroidery pattern?

My apologies to anyone who ended up here while looking for a free wombat pattern. I don't know if such a thing exists but I promise to link to it if I ever stumble across one.

Edited to Add: I did find two wombat embroidery patterns for sale. How cute is this?!

ETA: I'm now using StatCounter. It's another free counter and it's easy to install.

I clicked on both those links at the bottom and they came up with an error page, just so you know. I thought it would be best to let you know :)
