Taking A Break

I am in the middle of getting another post ready but you know what? I don't feel like doing this anymore. I haven't really felt like blogging for a long time. I kept at it though because I thought eventually I would get back into it but that's not happening. After I lost my license and quit my job, reading blogs and posting stuff here, along with all my stupid little craft projects, was what kept me from going completely insane. But it's been three years now and I'm still not back to driving or back to work. I pretty much have no life whatsoever. During the month of September, I only left the house for a trip to the ER. The incision from my foot surgery was infected so I spent the night in the hospital. That was actually a nice change from my usual day-today. In October, my big outing was to see a doctor. I didn't leave the house at all in November, except to take a long walk around my neighborhood. I had to get out of the house that day so I wouldn't sit on my bed and just scream at the top of my lungs which is what I felt like doing at the time. And what I feel like doing now. But instead of screaming, I'm going to bed. So this is my last post for awhile. I'll come back after things change and I feel better. And when pigs fly. :P

(My apologies if this was your first visit to my blog.)

Feel better soon, wish (as I'm sure others do) that I could be there to help in some way. :)

Keep your chin up!

You sound terribly depressed and now more than ever, you need to find an outlet. If it isn't blogging, then it needs to be something else.

I know what you mean about being blogged out though... I love writing...blogging...sharing but it is emotionally draining sometimes. I'm sure you know from my blog that there are large gaps in the posts and that's usually because I'm either not motivated or I'm just tired. It happens to everyone at some point.

But even if you aren't going to blog, promise that you'll seek some support offline!

Patty, I will miss your links and occasionally snarky comments on here. I wish I could help you. At least I can still give you a hug or comment on facebook. Take good care of yourself.

I think blogging is one of those things you shouldn't do unless you love it. It can become a burden.

On the flip side however, know that when you do check in with a note, we'll be here to give encouragement. There have certainly been times when the comments on my blog meant the world to me on a blue day. So don't completely cut off a source of support.

Hang in there.

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so depressed Patty. Being pretty much house bound myself I know exactly what you are saying. I find that blogging and visiting with my bloggy friends is one of the things that keeps me from being too depressed, but it is not for everybody all the time. Please seek some offline help if it gets too bad. We are here for you, so pop in and leave us a snarky post any time, we'll be happy to see you.

Say it ain't so Patty! I was afraid this would happen as your posts were dwindling. You are already sooo missed. Please feel better soon and know that we're all thinking about you. While we wait, I'll relive some of your commentaries about your projects that always made me laugh so much.

Miss you.

Hi !

I'm a French teacher of English and I have enjoyed visiting your blog for so many months now ... I am sorry to learn that you feel depressed and I only wanted to let you know that what matters is YOU and your well-being: don't add extra worries about what we're going to feel or think about you: it is not relevant here: just take care of yourself ! We love you and always wil wether you decide to go or not !
take care !
