I apologize for the not-so-great photo. (You can see it better on Flickr.) I wish I had a little girl to model the apron for me. I tried doing that myself and using the bathroom mirror to take a picture but I looked like a major chubbette wearing a too small apron and it was scary.

I like the motif on the skirt. I should reproduce that on some graph paper and post it here.

Oh my! That apron is fantastic. What a fun keepsake from your mother...
ReplyDeleteI really love this apron, I like the story best about it being purchased off a guy with a donkey. How cute is that? I like mexican vintage things...in fact it reminded me of something not so mexican, but I think you just inspired me for next weeks post....it's funny how this made me think of something to write about next week. ~and they are not even related~ I enjoyed this post a lot.
ReplyDeleteWow that is very nice :)

That apron is awesome! You should definitely reproduce and share the pattern!
ReplyDeleteI just had my niece model some aprons for pictures. But I had to keep her face out of them.
What a pretty design. I think it's unique and I love that it says Mexico. It makes it more interesting. The story about it is great too.
ReplyDeleteI remember learning how to cross stitch on material like that, with the little checks.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful souvenir apron...so well made.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty pattern .
ReplyDeleteNiice story too :)

This is absolutely adorable- do you sell them etsy?
ReplyDeleteLOVE your mom's apron. The story should never be separated from that apron. I mean it. Type it up and safety pin it to the apron. In case the apron ever falls into enemy hands (not sure who that enemy is, but anyway) they'll know too.
