I just read the latest post from Teresa on the Lone Star Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue blog and it made me really sad. Teresa wrote about the twelve dogs that she has been asked to take into her rescue during the first six days of the month. Twelve of them. This doesn't include any dogs already facing euthanasia in local shelters, and trust me, there are plenty of them out there.
If you have ever considered fostering a rescue dog in Texas, please contact Lone Star.
P.S. According to Facebook, Teresa got an email from someone whose father needs to give up twenty Shih Tzu. It never ends.

That is really sad. Being such a popular breed, I bet you are inundated with rescues. Luckily Corgis aren't TERRIBLY popular so it's mainly a manageable stream of dogs that come into rescue, unless you get a backyard breeder or puppy mill situation. Best of luck finding foster homes for these guys.
